Tracy L. Edwards, PMHNP- BC, is a dedicated psychiatric and family nurse practitioner at Guadalupe Psychiatric and Mental Health Services in Los Lunas and Rio Rancho, New Mexico. She has a passion for providing quality mental health care with experience serving clients in an active duty military clinic, inpatient psychiatric unit, community settings, and telepsychiatry. 

 

Tracy began her nursing education at North Arkansas Community College in Harrison, Arkansas, receiving her associate degree in applied science in nursing. She later pursued her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Phoenix in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, graduating with honors. 

 

Eager to further her education, Tracy achieved her Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in psychiatric mental health, at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico. 

 

Before working with Guadalupe Psychiatric and Mental Health Services, Tracy served at several healthcare units, such as the University Behavioral Health Hospital in Denton, Texas, and Maxim HealthCare Services. Tracy also has over 20 years of experience serving in the United States Air Force, followed by the United States Army Nurse Corps. 

 

Tracy is affiliated with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) and Sigma Theta Tau, the national honor society of nurses. She is board-certified as an advanced practice registered nurse by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the state of Texas and an adult psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) board.

 

Outside of the office, Tracy enjoys cooking, reading, and hiking. She looks forward to providing quality care to new and current patients in and around the Los Lunas and Rio Rancho area and working alongside the Guadalupe Psychiatric and Mental Health Services team.
